How to: Set Up LS Forecast Calculation Limit
LS Forecast is charged based on the Microsoft Azure usage. You can set a limit on the monthly calculation to prevent excessive usage.
To set up LS Forecast calculation limit
- Click the icon, enter LS Forecast Setup, and select the relevant link.
- On the LS Forecast Setup page, navigate to the Calculation FastTab, the Usage Monitoring section.
- Fill in the relevant fields:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Monthly Calculation Limit | This field specifies the number of calculations allowed for the current month. One unit of LS Forecast calculation is equivalent to a forecast calculated based on a unique combination of Item, Variant, and Location. |
Warning Threshold % | This field specifies the threshold percentage that will trigger a warning, when the Current Month Usage % hits or exceeds the threshold during forecast calculation. If the forecast calculation is triggered manually, a confirmation with warning will be prompted before proceeding with the calculation. If the forecast calculation is triggered via scheduler, the warning will be logged into the LS Forecast Calculation Logs. |
Current Month Usage % | This field specifies the usage percentage based on the number of calculation for the current month and the Monthly Calculation Limit. |
Exceeds Limit Block Calc. | This check box specifies if the system should block forecast calculation when the Current Month Usage % hits or exceeds 100%. This applies to both manual and scheduled forecast calculation. |
The LS Forecast Replenishment Role Center contains the Current Usage % and the Calculation Balance tiles under LS Forecast - Usage Monitoring. These tiles provide a good overview that shows if the monthly usage is already above the warning threshold or has exceeded the calculation limit. Clicking on the Current Usage % tile opens the LS Forecast Calculation Logs page where the usage details are shown. For more information see How to: View LS Forecast Calculation Logs.
